It was so fun to see everyone’s projects and see what the other classes were up to! I think everyone did a really great job. I got some good reactions and feedback from my project from people who hadn’t seen it yet. Everyone said to just keep working and see what other patterns I can come up with and learn as I keep going. Many people suggested that I make a few clothing pieces from the patterns. That had crossed my mind before, so I will probably try to order some more fabric that can be turned into different clothing pieces to see how I like doing that! I am not set to only do home decor and am up for anything! I was thinking of doing all different paper/print items such as notebooks, wallpapers, stationary, etc. and then also doing fabric items such as curtains, pillows, clothing and more. One of the other professors said some of the patterns reminded her of aztec or native prints and rugs. I should definitely look into those patterns at some inspiration! Overall, I was happy with the reactions and am going to continue working, starting to do more research and find different things that I can make out of the patterns.
